Seller Letter - "Our Little Gem"
A Hidden Gem with Easy Access to Everything That’s Great About Fairfax
Crescent lane is one of the best undiscovered little pockets in Fairfax. Tucked away on this special lane we raised three wonderful kids who loved their home, their neighbors, and their close-knit community of Fairfax.
It is so tucked away very few people wander up Crescent Lane unless they are visiting one of the three houses on the lane. This made for a safe, peaceful place to live with few disturbances and plenty of privacy.
For thirty years little changed on Crescent Lane. Only one house changed ownership and we developed a very special friendship, like family, with the owners of the other house.
Our home was a gathering place for our friends and all our kid’s friends. It was full of life and spontaneous get-togethers in the home and on the deck. Family and friends from around the globe would visit Crescent Lane is take in the spirit of our home and our beautiful lane.
My wife and I made the most of the quick walk to the entrance to Mount Tam, where we hiked and I trained for marathons and we both went for long runs and mountain biked.
We also loved strolling down to Fairfax to enjoy what this special little town has to offer. It was so nice not to get in a car to appreciate the town, the community, and the people we came to appreciate in Fairfax.
Walks to dinner with friends, ice cream with the kids a few times a week, music, and the bars all made for a diverse intimate community experience in this eclectic town of Fairfax.
Yet, Fairfax is only 30 minutes from San Francisco, 30 minutes to Point Reyes, and 30 minutes to the wine country and we made the most of the fantastic location. Driving out to Point Reyes every weekend to swim in Tomales Bay or driving every 2nd day into San Francisco to swim in the bay, then days we would head up to the wine country to get away, there is no better location in Northern California than Fairfax.
We are sad to move on from the wonderful years we spent on Crescent Lane, Fairfax but have moved to Australia and will not be returning to live in California.
We hope the new owners will love our home, our neighborhood, and our community that was so good to us for so long.
